A nice and compact pneumatically started engine that was used in a Epervier Drone.
Catapult launch with parachute recovery.
Business end of the drone, the Lucas CT3201 gas turbine engine , the turbine wheel bears a resemblance to the turbine wheel from the lucas CR201.
Front engine cover removed, exposing the fuel pump assembly and air impingement pipe work.
With the main central panel removed, 3 out of the 4 control box’s can be seen.
Time to remove the engine, for now anyway. Step one, remove the upper outer cover.
Alternative view with cover removed.
Upper rear engine cross member removed, for removal of engine unit.
Removed and sat happily on my bench.
I think one of the compressor blades is just visible.
