33 lbs / 15Kg Thrust Micro Turbo Jet Engine
Nope, sure doesn’t look like I’m trying to suck in here, also I’m not sure what’s going on with the glasses? I suppose the picture does give a scale to the size of the engine.
And here is the XL200 secured down in a basic test cell.
Nice to see that the XL200 comes with a built in FOD screen, it wouldn’t take a lot for the compressor to get totalled.
Exhaust end of the engine, the wire sticking in to the R/H side of the jet pipe is the engines thermocouple.
A very nice Turbine Wheel shot.
You can see the glow plug on the R/H side of this picture.
Data Terminal is used for programming the engine and viewing its parameters and the servo tester is used as a replacement of the radio control transmitter to control the engines throttle.
Fuel pump on the right and gas / kerosene valves to the left.
Battery for powering the radio receiver on the left and the ECU for the engine on the right.
Top view of the test stand.
Fuel tank top right of picture.
Testing of the Wren XL200, please excuse the poor video.
