I am fortunate to have
been loaned this Concorde Olympus 593 by David Walton
of Bruntingthorpe Aviation.
For those of you familiar to Brunty, you may well have
seen it parked by Bruntingthorpe Aviation's collection
of Aircraft at the Cold War Jets Museum which include
I am lucky to have a enthusiastic group of mates that
are providing some help in getting the engine running,
thanks have to go to Jon Starr and Ian & Paul Bennett.
Some advice on running the 593 has been gratefully received
Bastin & Henry
Price amongst others.
It does seem however, that although Concorde enthusiasts
and ex engineers alike are keen to see it running again,
very few are prepared to offer help -
lots of talk and no
action. Ultimately this will just lead to prolonging
the running of the engine slightly, but I hope to dry
crank the engine by the end of 2014 and have an idle
run early in 2015 unless I can find a primary nozzle
case the power might be upped a little....
